I feel your pain. I had suffered a TBI/concussion and whiplash over 2 years ago and still have horrible headaches.
Not all neurologists specialize in headaches. Is it possible for you to have a consult with a neuro with a sub-specialty in headaches?
If in the U.S., look at closest university-affiliated health centers for headache specialists. You might also find some of these specialists in private practices, "headache clinics." Investigate your options for seeing a headache specialist.
I hope you are more comfortable with each passing day.
