Hi Megan,
Sorry to hear that you have RSD but well done you for going to college and not letting it affect your career goals! SO good for you and an inspiration to others!
I'm 20 and also have RSD and I am studying Psychology at college. i'm not sure how things work in the US as I am in England but I agree with what the others have said about speaking to your lecturers / Disability Support to see what additional help you can get. This has really helped me and has enabled me to get 20% extra time during exams for my memory loss / concentration issues. I also have someone who can write or take notes for me during lectures when I am unable to and have elevator passes etc.
Another thing that may help with the RSD in your hands and typing is a computer software called Dragon Software. I use it and it has really helped me, I simply just talk to the computer and it types what I am saying.
A voice recorder is also a good idea. I have one and use it to record what lecturers are saying incase I forget.
If you need someone to talk to who understands what it is like balancing college and RSD, feel free to talk to me. I'm happy to give you any advice where I can.
Most of all, congrats on getting in and have fun!!
