enna, if i were you i would find a gp just for general checkups and flu season and would also get a pain management dr who knows how to treat rsd to help you manage your pain and stress better. a neurologist is good to have too, but after diagnosing the rsd and trying to initially treat it they usually refer the patient to a pm dr to manage chronic rsd pain. i never had a cardiologist either until i got rsd and found out it could cause rapid heart beats and i get an ekg done about every six months from my gp just to make sure my heart is beating properly. i've had heart problems (irregular heartbeats) but my gp and cardiologist said it was due to stress. i am not a dr so i don't want to tell you the the wrong thing or scare you. all i'm saying is that having a gp and cardio doc check my heart gave me one less thing to worry about which made me breath a little easier. i just thought that might put your mind at ease too. i hope you do feel better soon. remember just take it a day at a time. also having a good dentist is important too. the meds and rsd can sometimes cause dry mouth and bone thinning which may cause one to need to see the dentist more. and if you see a dentitst you may want to make sure they are aware you have rsd so they can treat you properly. having the support of the amazing people on this forum is priceless too. i couldn't get through my painful rsd days as well without all of you. soft hugs my friend.
