Has anyone had to go on an anti fungal and noticed an improvement in their symptoms?

I know there are many doctors that believe that certain microbes are the trigger for MS and many nerve disorders and I find it very interesting.
I asked my neuro if he would prescribe an anti fungal since I have recently been diagnosed with asthma all of a sudden- it kind of would be worth a try I thought. He said he does not prescribe antifungals, and that flagyl has cause some cases of neuropathy.

I saw my rheumatologist and she said that not knowing what fungus to target, she won't prescribe one either. So I am at a loss here. It is a possibility, but NONE of them care about finding the cause. I can't believe I can have buckets full of nerve drugs or steroids with hundreds of side effects but no one will try me on a few antifungals??

Why hasn't anyone ran any tests for fungal infections?

I am almost ready to call the lyme dr. back because he had mentioned putting me on one. It will just cost me a lot!
