Lawyer - and you drew the conclusion he was dead?
Coroner - yes.
Lawyer - did you check for his pulse?
Coroner - no.
Lawyer - did you perform a neurologic exam?
Coroner - no.
Lawyer - examine pupils for fixed and dilated?
Coroner - no.
Lawyer - well excuse me for asking, but how then were you able to arrive at the conclusion of death?
Coroner - it just might have had something to do with the fact that his heart was sitting in a jar on my desk.....
