Eating protein while taking acid reducing drugs, is not going to give much help to your body and may make you sick besides.

Protein needs acid in the stomach to break up into smaller bits for the enzymes in the intestines to further digest. Without acid, this undigested protein, moves down to the bacteria in the colon, and it ferments there making gas, bloating, diarrhea and GERD.
Both H2 antagonists like Zantac, and proton pump inhibitor types (Prilosec and Nexium etc) do this.

Whey protein powder, used to make smoothies and shakes is predigested and better for patients on acid blocking drugs.
