I also get electric shock like feeling in my lower back worse when I have to climb steps ...and I do that slowly. I found that the sneakers they sell that simulate walking on sand for exercise help absorb some of the pain (Sketchers makes them and a few other companies I got mine at Payless this pain is separate from the burning pain and a different area than my RSD/CRPS pain. The burning and hot/cold tingling is the norm for RSD/CRPS; I don't know your specific situation nor would I be able to dx the electric pain you are having if you have not already I'd mention to your Doctor. I hope your having a low pain day.
