Sally, it's so good to see you back in place. It's been a long time but falls can be such bad news.

Your having to lie on the ground unable to get up for 24 hours tells us something we probably need to know about today's world.

This isn't the cozy little town some of us might like to think it is, where you yell for help and some friendly helpful neighbor nearby hears you. People are pretty cut off these days. We almost have to have ways of staying connected even if they're things like cellphones or Lifeline buttons.

Hard to remember to take your cellphone to the bathroom with you in the middle of the night though! It will be a while efore I get into that habit but something tells me I should try.

I'm sure your loved ones have busy lives and are doing the best they can to look in on you but maybe now someone can arrange to give you a daily call, maybe a twice-daily call?

I had a couple of e-mail exchanges with your daughter--I'm assuming it's the one with MS? She must be very busy with 4 kids. It was really kind of her to go to the trouble of communicating with me, a stranger from online butting into her private life.
