I agree with Julie. Try to find a psychiatrist who also understands head injuries. If there is a brain injury rehabilitation clinic nearby, contact them and ask for a referral to a psychiatrist who understands the issues.

Keep in mind that psychs are as different as any diverse group. They have biases and specialties/passions. The right one is out there.
