I so agree, Joan! You're asking the questions we should ALL ask whenever something new comes around that claims to offer us help. But sometimes we don't, we just grasp at straws and buy whatever. Not too surprising, since this kind of pain will drive anyone to desperate acts.

I always have to wonder what price people pay, in terms of their soul, for making money off desperate folks who just want to get better and live a reasonably "normal" life. It can't be a good one, needless to say.

I'm NOT saying this particular product is a scam, I have no clue. I just always worry when I hear about some new product with such claims... especially when it turns out to be an older device that hasn't managed to become well known in our circles. If WE don't know about it (either the 1998 OR 2002 versions) by now, I wouldn't trust it enough to spend my hard earned money.
