Yes and no. I was told not to go to a school....oral maxillofacial dentist. Very expensive if one does not have dental insurance.
For cleanings, (I don't do this personally) but hygienists can set up appointments for 10 mins cleaning.
Also if one needs something more they can sedate you. Again expensive w/o ins.
I always return with a sore face. And request only a pano never those individual in mouth x rays.....
There is a lot of comfort thingys but not completely pain free.
