I have my follow up appointment with the Neurologist on Monday.
Since my last posts the pain has increased and is constant in my hip, groin and thighs.
I was starting to wonder if I'm having hip problems that are unrelated to my PN. The nerve pain is in my groin and through my thigh and into my knee on my left side. All my PN started on the left side. Only reason I don't think it is my hip is that I have a deep ache in both my thighs. The 300mg of Lyrica is helping me sleep beautifully but I have constant pain.

Still some memory, organising problems and also with concentration. I will mention this all to the Neuro and see what she says.

The original referral from my doc to the Neuro was with his concerns with my memory and to see if she would organise a PET scan.

Well here's hoping for some answers and hopefully some pain management.

Cheers,

Phil
That is what my Dr told me when I told him that I had burning, zapping in my feet and ankles plus deep "muscle" feeling pain in the Lumbar, hips, buttocks, Quads and Iliosoas muscles. Try to do what you have to to get from one day to the next because changes are-a-comin. I don't intend to sound flippant but (in my case) change is slow but seemingly constant. I started out right-side only and became bi-lateral one night lying on my bed in a matter of 5 minutes of "crossfiring". And the symptoms were equally strong on both sides. I hope you don't have a bout of muscle wasting as I did. Mt pain was at its worst after everything from Lumbar down became involved. I am not saying that you can't have two thing going at the same time but I was fooled myself. I hope you get pain Management and can clear the next hurdle. Good Luck, Ken in Texas.
