Hi Catch 22

Welcome Thanks for your first post - (I see you joined a while ago and are probably well read up on the Neuropathy forums)

I too have the intense burning in my feet - it was one of the earliest symptoms of neuropathy for me - fortunately it is more seasonal - mostly worse in summer (I'm in NZ - so cool at present) - being in SE Asia with the tropical humidity it would be a constant problem for you.

I haven't found anything yet to fix it permanently but get some temporary relief by soaking feet in cool water for about 10mins at a time (too long can damage skin) and at night I can only get to sleep by resting my feet on a frozen cooler pad wrapped in a hand towel (this is important - don't have direct contact with the ice.)

I'm limited as to what medications I can take due to another auto-immune disorder so haven't tried Neurontin (aka Gabapentin) - although I was offered it earlier this year I'm keeping it in reserve for if things get worse.

Has your doctor identified the cause of your neuropathy? This can be useful to help determine possible treatments.

All the best - please keep us posted how you're doing.
