There is definitely more than MP going on with your husband's symptoms. I would be inclined to seek out another physician for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Keep pushing for answers until you get them. If it takes several different visits to various doctors, do not allow your husband to just be dismissed with a pat on the back and a kick out the door. Don't give up. You will find the right doctor and get a proper diagnosis. It may take persistence.
