I am in agreement with Joan. It could be both. Because of the RSD, I hate to drive, it hurts my leg so badly. Also, with depression you get to where you want to do something but cannot bring yourself to actually do it. Which in turn sometimes makes the depression worse.

If you have been on the depression meds for awhile (if you are on them), you should call your doc and explain that the depression might be stronger than the meds at this time and you would like to review the dosage and symptoms with him/her. Maybe they need to be upped. Definitely worth the try. Then if you don't see a change, it is more RSD related than depression related. But if you do see a change than you can go see your friend and not tell yourself tomorrow.

Hugs.
