PAUL SIMON: THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS GERSHWIN PRIZE FOR POPULAR SONG
Alison and Jerry Douglas traveled to Washington, DC last month to take part in a very special tribut to the legendary Paul Simon. On Wednesday, June 27, 9PM-10:30pm (EST) PBS will air a celebration of Paul Simons music as he is presented with the first Library Of congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song. Taped at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC, the high-definition special features tributes from a start-studded line-up of performers and presenters incuding Alison Krauss, Yolanda Adams, Marc Anthony, Dixie Hummingbirds, Jerry Douglas, Art Garfunkel, Ladysmith Black Mombazo, Lyle Lovett, Stephen Marley, James Taylor, and Buckwheat Zydeco. Presenters include former poet laureate Billy Collins, Bob Costas and Lorne Michaels.
