Hi Hodge,

I assume you are now edentulous, meaning without any teeth? I ask that because most people have 32 adult teeth but sometimes people have extra sets of some teeth.

Alveoplasty is a surgical procedure that smooths down the rough bumpy edges of the jaw bone to help contour a more natural shape after teeth are removed. Most often it is done when there are multiple teeth removed at one time. Also, most often it is done at the time the teeth are extracted. Who did the extractions, a general dentist or an oral surgeon?

Were all the teeth removed at one time or by quadrant?

Do you know the reason why the alveoplasty wasn't done at the time of the extractions?

Are you wearing temporary dentures? Are you planning on doing dental implants or staying with a removable denture?
