Hi Meech,

Is this for a cardiac stress test? Is it that sort of exercise test? If so, there is another way they can do the examination. Instead of doing it via exercise, they can inject a medication which stimulates your heart and produces approximately the same results. Then you would just be able to remain lying down. You may still have fatigue afterwards, but you wouldn't have to be afraid of falling down during the test, for instance. I had the test done this way a few months ago, and it went okay for me...certainly much better than it would have done if I tried to do it on a treadmill. If you tell them about your diagnosis in advance, they can do the test this alternate way and probably would prefer it, I think.
