My PN first began in my big toes, also waking me up several times in the middle of the night with severe stabbing pain. This then progressed very quickly up legs and now affecting fingers, wrists and arms. I have idiopathic PN but my symptoms coincidentally began 2 days following a lumbar epidural steroid injection.
