Vitamins for nerve repair...
Hi,
I am Amit from Mumbai,India.
I have posted a thread in 'Dental issues' yesterday titled 'Trigeminal Deafferentation pain - 1.5 years' .
Please go thru it.
My brother (aged 35) has orofacial pain in the superior Alveolar nerve above the left premolar teeth due to nerve damage. The pain specialist has said it is 'Trigeminal deafferentation pain'.
I wish to know what vitamins can be taken for nerve repair and regeneration.
He has been taking B complex vitamin called as Becosules by Pfizer for the same.
The contents are as under -
Calcium pantothenate 50 mg,
Vitamin B12 15 mcg,
Folic acid 1.5 mg,
Thiamine mononitrate 10 mg,
Riboflavin 10 mg,
Pyridoxine hydrochloride 3 mg,
Niacinamide 100 mg,
Vitamin C as Ascorbic acid 150 mg,
Biotin 100 mcg.
Is it safe to take this combination. If yes,for how many days/months ?
It has folic acid as 1.5 mg. Is it safe to be taken daily ?
Regards,
Amit.
