I suffer from this as well, particularly after activity. I believe it is due to poor circulation, leading to pressure differentials that we sense.

Like you, mine has gotten better over time. I would think that this can be seen as a positive sign, in some sense... it's better than it used to be. Just this morning I discussed this with a Physical Therapist at a concussion clinic and he believed it is suggestive of a physical problem too.
