I hope that you can find a neurologist who will be able to help you.

There are non-invasive ways (SPECT and PET scans) for monitoring dopamine-related physiology in the brain. I don't know how common they are in clinical practice nor how expensive they may be but they are an option which you could discuss with a neurologist.
