Well, I have also been one to push through everything. Any ailment, sickness, etc. Rest has always been a hard proposition for me. I was the type of guy that would work a 10 hour day and then go on a 3 hour group training ride and feel even better the next day, or get up at 5:30 and hammer out a 30 mile ride. All that stuff just made me feel less tired and ready to handle the day. Maybe all of this is a blessing in disguise in some ways. Or maybe not. I have really had to SLOW down these last few months. I have to say that once the symptoms started getting bad, I did drop down to 20 hours per week at work for about 10 days. And I have taken various amounts of medical leave, shortened hours, this summer. I am trying, maybe trying too hard, to recover. I do not take on any new projects here for the time being, and work is very apprised of my situation.
