Question Is this a symptom of TOS, anyone?

I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place, but over the last couple weeks, I've noticed any time I try to do much writing (like pen on paper), the inner part of my right wrist starts to turn red and swell a little bit in a patchy fashion, sort of looks like little blood vessels or an allergic reaction. Today it started doing it into the base of my palm as well, which is where the median nerve goes. I know that I don't have carpal tunnel, but could nerves cause these minor vascular changes? Anyone else ever notice something like this? Also, nothing is touching that part of my wrist, not the pen or the paper, another reason why I find this so odd.

Thanks,
Melissa
