I'd demand testing specifically for MS. Different neurologists approach MS testing differently. Most likely they'll suggest a spinal tap and most probably an MRI. Make sure they do the MRI with and without contrast. I'd ask for a cervical spine MRI to be done at the same time the brain is done. Might take a little longer but you'd only have to go in once for both of them.

Here's a link to the McDonald Criteria for diagnosing MS. I'd print a copy and take with me to my appointment. Let the doctors know you've done your homework and are serious about getting the right diagnosis.
