My pump was implanted 6/15. So far I'd have to say it has not been a good experience. Only after the procedure was done did I find out it can take up to six months to get the dosage correct. So far I've had morphine and now I'm into my 7th week of dilaudid. The side effects of both drugs are worse than the pain which I still have! At my next refill my doc is going to change my medicine.
I chose to get this stupid thing because I trusted my doctors. I don't know what else to do. I just want some of this pain gone. I'm tired of being in bed all the time!!
