It feels a lot like a sunburn that obviously isn't there. Also developed some transient tingling/numbness in my hands. Affer many years at a desk and sleeping with arms overhead, etc, TOS got suggested as a possibility, along with a cervical disk issue. Does this prickling pain and the locations sound familiar to anyone? I'm just trying to get a better idea of what to expect next week at docs/neuros. Thanks in advance.

You should modify your weight lifting. work on strengthening the lower traps and the rhomboids. Do not do ANYTHING that engages the scalenes - you will find this is almost impossible to do. Look at finding a TOS specialist (sticky threads at top) that can to ULTRASOUND guided botox of the scalene muscles. You may also have luck finding a doctor that specializes in "cervical dystonia" that also does the ultrasound guided botox by looking for someone that specializes in movement disorders. Where do you live? Be prepared to travel....it is worth getting treatment from someone that knows what they are doing early on....I didn't and am now disabled. Good luck!
