If you had any alcoholic drinks with your family right there is where to stop. Don't ever drink and take AED's it can be very dangerous!!
In regards to the feeling that you had it sounds like what happens to me when I have a cp sz. I hear and see everything going on around me and I'm totally conscious but I'm unable to speak this is often how my cp sz. start.
My epi told me that cp sz. are the hardest to control and if a persons sz. isn't under control within some time it can lead to grand mal sz. for some people. This is what happened to me last Sept. but I found out a lot of it was do to stress and after my epi increased my mysoline level I haven't had any more grand mal sz. thank goodness.
