I seem to remember the figure of 40 % of people with PD have bowel issues at some point. It also seems to be a common complaint with the public at large, hence all the shelf space taken up with stomach remedies and the terrible ads on TV.

I would suggest asking the nurse at the specialist office what she or he finds works for constipation with PD patients. I know that there so many options available it gets really confusing. It is no joke to have these issues. It ends up getting in the way of trying to lead a normal life.
