Caroline, in the interests of continuing this discussion, I am very confused by what I have quoted from you.

Citrus fruits, including lemons and limes, are acidic because they contain citric acid.

Can you provide some links with evidence which supports your view that they "turn alkaline" (I am not sure that I understand what you mean by this) from "this info all over the net"?
