Default DCR Surgery

I had thyroid cancer 5 years ago with a large dose of radioactive iodine. I finally got a good sleep doctor who prescribed meds to control my REM behavior disorder so I could use an Autopap machine. I have dry eyes and my left eye does not drain anymore through the naso lacrimal ducts. This makes it hard to see because even dry the tears have to go somewhere, so they build up and come out the lower lid. I wear a full facial mask with liners, but I prepare for bed by using adhesive bandages to cover both eyes. The sleep apnea is related to the REM behavior disorder, as I only have it during REM sleep. So the pressure goes down when I am not in REM sleep, if I have a good seal. My opthalmologists majority rule that I need a DCR operation to make a new naso lacrimal duct on the left. I wonder what mask won't aggravate the incision and what adhesive bandages won't pull out the stints. Any thoughts?
