Yes--
--madisongrrl has a point--and looking for posts under my name will bring up a lot of explanation as to how, given the protocol and standards, sometimes the interpretation of skin biopsy findings can lead to one being designated one is "normal" erroneously--but at least the skin biopsy is easy to do: a few shots of a local anesthetic, 3mm patches of skin removed, a few band-aids.
It's the processing and interpretation that is tricky--special stainings and electron microscopy is involved, and only a few centers have these AND people trained in what to look for.
