There are a few things that are somewhat common with SFN pain - like the pain is typically is worst at night. But none of these "prove" SFN. As you read the boards here, you will find a huge variety of symptoms - literally everyone is different. As far as I know, the only thing that really "proves" SFN is a skin biopsy. (But even then - it has to be taken from the affected area, and prepared/evaluated properly in order to be accurate.)
