After reading the press release a bit closer, it appears that they have yet to even start Phase II trials - "Relief will engage in clinical development to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of atexakin alfa...."

In Phase II and III, it is not uncommon to have 6 month delay to even get the trial started. The average Phase III trial lasts over 2 years, give or take - depending on the indication. And that is just the trial time. That doesn't include all the stats, analysis, write up, review, and FDA filing etc.

I'm probably less interested in this knowing that it is a Disease Modifying Drug and will probably have a significant side effect profile. However, I will keep one eye on this one....
