Default Probiotics and Pain Management

A friend sent this link to me and I've read it two times and will read it again to let it sink in. I've heard the expression "good health begins in the gut" so this is what this is all about.

It talks about antiobiotic use and I am of the camp that these are overused. And when they are needed are people replacing good bacteria with probiotics.

Personally, I haven't taken a LOT of antiobiotics in my life but when I needed them I did. Thinking now, I KNOW when I had hip replacement I'm sure my body was bombarded with antiobioitics and, of course, no probiotics were given in the hospital.

Right now I'm taking 30Billion CFU's one or two per day with a meal. Today, I'm taking 2. I like the Healthy Origins 30B CFU product. I'm sure there are many good ones but this is what seems to be my choice now.

I don't have stomach or digestive issues per se and believe the DGL I've been taking keeps my stomach healthier. I'm doing more probiotics to see if I can achieve less pain.

I just wonder IF the MD's advise probiotics when they write antiobiotic scripts. I've been taking a dose for dental since hip job, and surgeon never mentioned probiotics...

So again, one has to be their own doctor so much.
