You may want to check. Some doctors are now using less aggressive numbers to treat hypothyroid, mine included.

My initial numbers were in the 5's. Although many doctors do not consider you as hypothyroid until you are in the 10's, mine went ahead and treated me because I had symptoms. It made an incredible difference in my energy levels. She monitored me very closely for the first year to make sure my TSH didn't dip too low. She tries to keep mine under 2.
