John0921,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

What you describe sounds quite normal for PCS. The roller coaster ride can go on for years until one learns how to avoid the triggers or at least recognize them and expect the bad days or weeks.

What you are describing sounds like anxiety. The pulsing in your head is a classic anxiety. Your Blood Pressure and pulse may be elevated and the anxiety makes it so your brain is overly attentive to the sensation of the pulsing.

It would help if you would tell us more about your injury, what diagnostics and treatments/therapies you have had and what symptoms you continue to have. Also, what your daily activities are like and job, responsibilities, and relationships/family life. They can all play into the roller coaster.

Have you had any changes in your life lately ? Job change, school, illness, injury, etc ?

With a better understanding, we may be able to identify some of the reasons for your continuing struggles.

Do you do anything to help your brain from a nutritional/vitamins standpoint ? Do you take any meds besides the Celexa ? Ever been on a different med ?

Unfortunately, welcome to the roller coaster of PCS. For many of us it is an E ticket ride. Back in the day, the best and wildest rides at Disneyland required an E ticket.
