But usually would only be a factor if a nerve is affected at spinal level.

If nothing shows up as a cause , perhaps a expert chiropractor evaluation? (maybe one with low level laser)

My chiro really helped a lot when I had a Plantar fasciitis problem.
He did foot/ankle adjustments, massage & some laser treatments..
My neurologist says it would be impossible for the source to come from the spine or sacral area due to the remote location and presentation of the sysmptom.

What area of the spine would you think would cause electric shocks to the calcaneal nearve branch? S2? What about cord impingement in the neck?
