Dextromethorphan cannot be used with antidepressants.

But other than that it may help with pain.
I also found an interesting paper on my phone...let me see...if I can find it now.

It has been tried for post surgical pain in the '90's with little success.

The last time I had a terrible bronchitis was over 5 yrs ago...and I used a product with DM in it to stop the tiring coughing. It worked on my foot pain very well at about 80mg every 24 hrs.
(I took the cough product in divided doses over several days.

I posted about it here in fact.

We had a member here who tried DM for his feet also. But it didn't work.

I think the effects may be highly subjective. No harm in trying, but don't use it if you take Cymbalta or other SSRI or TCA antidepressants.
