The foot and ankle orthopod has an appointment Wednesday morning. Yay! We can be sure about the time in that boot for his type of fracture. His foot looked pretty good this morning.  But boy, I just didn't care sending him off to school all day.
He knows to elevate as much as possible to keep swelling down and has a note to do so in class. I guess one good thing coming out of being an "expert" on foot injuries is he's doing everything I tell him with no questions asked.

Kids are just amazing at getting over stuff and also dealing with it 
Story: In high school my son worked after school in a grocery store standing on his feet in the produce dept......he came home one night and said "mom, look at my ankle"......what the heck ! My kid had hurt his ankle playing basketball in FIRST period that day. When he took his boot off at 9 pm that night his ankle poofed right out ! And off to the ER we went.
My thoughts are with you and your son and hoping he heals quickly.
So glad he's listening to you ! That's priceless in my book
