shoes & socks are evil, I agree 100%
My best description for Neurontin / gabepetin is unlike pain killer where you feel the relief, you notice what they do when it wear off. I take Gralise which is time release Gabepetin, on good days I only take it before bed, bad days I supplement a 400mg Gabepetin when I get home from work.
I've Cymbalta but did not like the side effects at all.
I've tried Lyrica and would be interested in trying it again. I'm not sure if I want to go through the aggravation of getting the insurance company to approve it. (it was a whole new process to get the dosage increased and I just didn't have the time or patience to go through with it.
Good luck with the pain and the stop drinking.

My PN is considered Critical Illness Neuropathy. In October 2010 I left for a golf trip not feeling well, woke up in a hospital 21 days later. I was in an induced coma for treatment of Legioneers Disease. First day out of ICU I noticed the pain in my feet and as they say the rest is history.
