When you see the os tomorrow, be sure to discuss the symptoms of swelling and yellow discharge. He should explain why and what that is. Ask him if you are building up plaque, and if so ask where so you can brush better.

The peridex is an antimicrobial rinse. In all honesty, it's a very strong chemical and should only be used if absolutely necessary. FYI... It will also stain (temporarily) your teeth. Ask him if he thinks rinsing with salt water or baking soda would be just as effective because neither of those things will disrupt the good bacteria in your mouth.
