Default Vision therapy update

Thought I would fill all you interested in on the therapy thus far.

It is hard!

I am 56 and therapy reminds me of vision testing I did in grade school so I have had to eat some humble pie, unable to do in a timely manner or fail to complete some exercises in front of a pretty young therapist can strike the male ego a blow but it is about getting better.

I get headaches that are pretty ferocious after the office therapy, I take the day off and have to sleep it off some when I get home. My wife has to drive me home...an hour drive.

I have figured out which exercises for homework make me the angriest and I now save them for the last so I can work on the others in a calm and more successful manner. For some reason the cheiroscope work makes me get angry. By saving it for last it also allows me to focus entirely on calming down after completion and therefore I don't get to out of hand once I figured that out.

The prism glasses are taking some getting used to. The doc tells me my left eye is really fighting with prisms, it continues to want to return to its out of place view. I believe I am slowly adjusting to them.

Yesterday I went all emotional during an exercise and started balling. It was very nice to be working with a doc who understands the head injury patient...she neither treated me like a child or pushed beyond my limit at that point. I was able to take a break and regain composure and told her I hate quitting and did not want to move on till I had completed the task.
