Default White Matter Change

hi,

I am 7 months undiagnosed with white matter change on my brain. I have been tested for just about everything and they cant seem to track down what is causing it. I have a few more tests over the next few months. My question is, I had root canal surgery about 3 years ago. Which has never caused me pain, but it has also never felt quite right, and is often tender. I have had a slight infection showing in my bloods for approx 3 years and it is gradually getting worse. I have had my tooth xrayed at a dentist and they tell me it looks fine. Is it possible to miss an infection under a root canal via xray? If I do have an infection in my root canal, could that cause white matter change on the brain?

Thankyou for your help in advance
Kelly
