Hi gizzmo,

Welcome to the forum! I've had epilepsy for 44 yrs. and it started out with migraine headaches which led to seizures. I will tell you that sleep apnea can trigger seizures because lack of sleep and stress are the 2 main things that can cause seizures for many people. You need to see a neurologist or better yet a Epileptologist which is a Dr. specializing in epilepsy. I found out a couple of yrs. ago after having a sleep study done that I was having seizures in my sleep. Also anxiety can get a person worked up which in turn can cause more excitement which can lead to a seizure.
Try taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day, cut back on foods that have carbs and starch in them and start eating high fat foods. This is known as the ketogenic diet and is for people who have epilepsy. The diet builds up keytones in a persons body which in turn reduces and sometimes stops seizures.
Depression comes along with epilepsy because of all the meds and activity going on in the brain. Start keeping track of your seizures, get a calendar and write down what time you had the seizure along with the type of seizure you had by doing this the Dr. can often see a pattern in a persons seizures as to what days of the month a person will have any seizures and what time of the day. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue
