1) Was the wisdom tooth impacted (not visible or partially visible above the gum line)?

2) Why was the wisdom tooth extracted.. infection, decay, pain?

3) What is the health of tooth #31... is that tooth root canaled? What is the health of her other teeth?

4) Did she develop a dry socket or signs of infection in that area shortly after the wisdom tooth was extracted? If not, how long after the extraction did symptoms develop?

5) Is your wife a smoker?

6) How is your wife's health in general? Does she take any medications?

7) How many times has she been on antibiotics in the last 2 years?

8) Has the oral surgeon or other dentists mentioned the possibility of a cavitation called Osteomyelitis?

9) Would she consider seeing a non conventional dentist, one who practices Biological dentistry?

Was the tooth decayed
Good evening, its been a long road a lil over a year now with no amswers. This originaly started because she was having some lymoh nodes swell and they keeped taking xrays and no xrays were showing an infection then the general dentist put a swab in by the gum and did infact see an infection in the impacted wisdom tooth. It was then extracted apparently it was a deep impaction completely right to left under the skin. to follow after the extraction her eye began twitching immediately under the eye in the soft skin everyday all day and some times she would feel the twitch and sometimes not but even if she doesn't it stil twitches. It becomes more feeling the twitch as she feels a lil swelling by her right back jaw and right check. They put her on antibiotics before the extraction and then immediately after. She started to comnplain about the right jaw irritation not so much as pain she said there felt like food was getting into the maybe flap of where they sututed and she could feel like it was also leaking out of there all the specialist say the gums looks healthy and more xrays.. she keeped telling her oral surgeon it wasn't ok he agreed to reopen the site where he was shocked to find soft tissue that he cleaned up and then again anti biotics. he did this one more time reopened the site a few months later and same results scrapped the soft tissue. she has seen the root canal specialist and they tested the teeth she does have a filling in tooth # 31 but the testing came back fine. She again went to general dentist complaining and she poked around and found bacteria and irritation in a pocket which gum measured at 7 she referred to a paradontist** and with that check up she said that a bone graph may not be the answer as her symptoms are not showing at the moment that was 4 days after the general dentist had seen her which the gum after 4 days only measured at 3. SHe istarted using the paroex 3 times a day but nothing is chamging she is becoming exhausted with the anxiety of all this and has no idea what to do who to see and where to proceed. She feels as though what ever is going on is disrupting her whole right side of her face now. TO her ear, under eye and headaches starting. She is a smoker and she had just quit in the beginning of this the anxiety was causing her upset stomach and the primary dr thought maybe GI dr who put her on meds Nexium 80mg a day which caused her b12 levels to drop and vitamin D. SHe sought a new GI and they told her she didn't need to be on it and is now slowly whinning her off that is was anxiety induced. Please help and give us some direction
