200 mgs of L-T are OK. Some take more. For some, the L-T does not convert to 5-HTP properly. One maker claims their specific L-T will cross the Blood Brain Barrier so it converts better.
I take 100 mgs of 5-HTP and 200 mgs of L-Theanine when I wake up then 200 mgs of L-T at lunch with my complete regimen.
I have not tried the L-T or 5-HTP before bed. I take 600 mgs of gabapentin before bed. It might be worth trying L-T or 5-HTP before bed instead.
I tried L-Tyrosine and had a very bad emotional reaction after 2 doses so I have not taken it since.
