If you act and think like it never happened, you will likely never notice a difference. But, if you become anxious about it, you may notice some increase in symptoms.
So, it is your choice.
I find that if I redirect the event and resulting thought to something like, "I need to be more careful " or " I need to slow down." and leave it at that, it helps me forget about the bump. But, if instead, your thought is "Did I do any damage ?" you next thought will be, "I bet I did." Then symptoms will manifest.
