Caroline it is my understanding from things I've read, people I've talked to and documentaries I've seen that Japanese people don't consume any where near as much soy as we think. If I can find any articles I'll pass them your way.

Our soy world in the U.S. is primarily GMO produced soy. And all the fluoride consumed pulls iodine from our bodies.

I still dose with my Iosol daily. And avoid soy. So much info on soy consumption and thyroid dsyfunction. Maybe the Japanese balance things out with their soy and iodine consumption.

Also wonder if joint replacements are many in Japan.

I am forever questioning our health system.
