Here are some "facts" about iodine consumption in Japan. Of course, it can vary as the article mentions. And health facts about people in that part of the world.

The article from oregonstate, talks about the U.S. RDA 150mcg...which in my mind is very LOW. Right now I am dosing with 1830mcg (drop of Iosol) and usually about 3 drops per day in half glass of water. I feel fine. Also, like for so much, our bodyweight needs to be taken into account.

My neighbor could not get her body temp up from 95something and Dr. Williams in one of his books talks about this and that taking 4 drops per day can bring up your temp...it has for her...she took 4 drops for a while and now backed down to 1-2 drops per day. She was able to get up to 97+.

On the U.S. RDA, they come in very low on everything. Thinking about the Vit D deficiency that came to the forefront in the last 10 yrs (for me anyway) the RDA is very low on Vit D. And to this time, many are very low in Vit D and especially older folks. Dr. Williams was writing about Vit D deficiency for 25 yrs and no one was listening. I wasn't, never thought I was deficient. He's the one that brought the Iodine issue to my eyes.
